This review is long overdue. We can’t thank Ralpha and Carlos enough for transforming our once bare, plain backyard into a beautiful oasis. Carlos’s craftsmanship is truly exceptional—the results speak for themselves. Every detail was approached with care and precision, and it shows in the final outcome. Friends and family continue to compliment our backyard, and we couldn’t be happier. We’re so grateful to HQ Remodeling for bringing our vision to life.![]()

Super thankful for finding HQ remodeling but especially Rapha and Carlos. They helped us from design stage to incredible craftsmanship and cleaned everything up. Professional at every step and over delivered. The pavers, charcoal boarder, drainage, drip systems and so so many small touches in the brick work is amazing. Strongly recommend.![]()

We did a full kitchen remodel in April 2026. Dan was our project manager and he did a great job organizing all the subcontractors and communicating the timeline with us. We started with a design meeting and we were able to see what the final design would look like. They took measurements and generated the design on the spot. The renderings matched the final product very, very closely. Throughout the process Dan would check in every day to ensure progress was happening at an acceptable pace. They even worked on one weekend to make sure we could meet our original cabinet delivery date (the city ran later than expected with when they could do their inspection, which put us behind). They worked around all our time constraints as well and were super flexible. From an original timeline of 8 weeks, we were actually able to finish in 5 weeks, even with a full rewire of added scope. This was only possible (I think) because Dan lined up all the subcontractors so well with no wasted days. There was someone working everyday, pretty much all day. I appreciated having input through the whole process, especially in picking all the finishes and appliances. We picked out our own finishes and Dan helped us to find savings where possible, which helped to keep the whole project (including add-ons) under the original estimates (without the additional scope like the rewire) we got from other companies. Overall, everyone was very timely, very open in their communication, and ensured everything came out to our satisfaction (even if it meant some additional work on their part).

Tali was our project manager on our front yard remodel and it came out amazing. She got us a quote in under 48 hours and was super quick and responsive during the whole project. When miscommunication happened, she was quick to offer solutions. We love how our yard came out and the working team led by Mel did an amazing job. They did this while thing in 2 weeks. Crazy. Definitely give these guys a chance to quote your next project. You won't regret it![]()

This is the third time we have used HQ Remodeling for a home improvement project. For our current project, they turned my adult kids' room into an at-home office space, re-roofed our house, installed a new electrical panel and car charger, and liaised with a solar company to install solar panels. All work was done quickly and professionally, with Tali, our project manager, constantly in communication to help us solve any issues immediately. We are absolutely loving all of the home improvements they've done for us over the last few years, and we would absolutely use them again.

After interviewing four other companies, I went with HQ Remodeling for my kitchen remodel and I'm so glad I did. What set them apart right from the start was their approach. knowledgeable, confident, and genuinely invested. They even took me to see similar projects they were working on in my area, which honestly sold me. They were the most expensive of the five, but their estimate was clear, detailed, and transparent. The project took about two months. The crew kept things clean and organized the whole time, which I really appreciated. But the thing that stood out the most was the communication. Whenever something came up, it got handled quickly and without drama. Big shoutout to Camilla in customer service, Eric the foreman who kept everything running smoothly on site, and Rapha the project manager who tied it all together. The end result is awesome and my kitchen looks better than I imagined. If you're on the fence about these guys, don't be. Highly recommend!![]()

I was so tired of our old kitchen so I decided to look for the best local designer to make me a new kitchen. I found HQ, they had great reviews and local reputation and the best part is that they do a professional design and also they are a general contractor. I met with Eli and Roy and their designer Emili. After finalizing the amazing design, hq gave me a detailed proposal for the actual work and they deducted the cost of the design. I compared them with 2 other contractors. The prices were all more or less the same but I really trusted hq and I am happy to say that I did the right choice. I love my new kitchen, thanks HQ, Eli and Roy!

We had been planning this backyard remodel for almost 10 years, saving up and waiting for the right time to finally do it at our home in Costa Mesa. This project was very important to us, so choosing the right company was not something we took lightly. After meeting with a few contractors, HQ Remodeling & Design stood out right away. They came in with the best vision for the space and really understood what we were trying to achieve. Their quote was fair and detailed, and we felt confident moving forward with them. Roy managed the project, with Danilo as the supervisor and Fernando as the foreman on site. The team worked well together, and you could see there was good coordination between everyone involved. Communication was solid, and they kept us updated throughout the process. The project did take longer than originally expected, mainly due to supply issues with the patio cover, which was out of everyone’s control. Even with that delay, HQ stayed on top of things and made sure the work kept progressing as much as possible. Now that everything is complete, we can honestly say it was worth the wait. The backyard looks completely different and finally feels like a space we can truly enjoy. We find ourselves spending much more time outside than before, and every friend or neighbor who sees it is impressed. Overall, HQ Remodeling & Design delivered a great result on a project that meant a lot to us. We’re very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them.![]()

We Know How Tustin Works
Remodeling in Tustin means working with the City of Tustin Community Development Department and its Building Division, and we handle that process for you. Plans and applications are submitted through the city’s Citizen Self Service portal, and the Building Division offers plan check by appointment for common residential projects like kitchen and bathroom remodels, patio covers, block walls, and pools. First plan check reviews are generally returned within ten working days.
A few Tustin specific things matter. Homes in the Old Town Tustin historic district require historic preservation review, which adds time and calls for design that respects the district before plans are submitted, not after. Projects in Tustin Legacy fall under master plan overlay standards carried over from the former MCAS Tustin redevelopment. And if your property is in North Tustin, it sits on unincorporated county land, which means permits go through OC Public Works rather than the City of Tustin, a distinction many homeowners miss. In master planned communities like Tustin Ranch, HOA approval is also part of the process. For ADUs, Tustin follows state law under City Code 9279, allowing detached units up to 1,200 square feet and junior ADUs up to 500 square feet, and HOAs in newer communities cannot ban them. We know these paths well and guide each project through the right one.
